GLASGOW MAN ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH ASSAULT PDF Print

A Glasgow man has been arrested and charged with assault after an incident Saturday night on Columbia Avenue.  Police were called at 9:30 to 1104 Columbia Avenue, lot # 9 in reference to a physical altercation involving a firearm.

32 year old Daniel Mendez of Glasgow was allegedly beating a female with a piston.  Upon arrival officers encountered several Hispanic males at the scene, and the victim told police that Mendez had hit her in the head with the pistol.

Police found the pistol in the back of the house, and Mendez admitted to throwing it back there.  Daniel Mendez is charged with 4th degree assault, Possession of a defaced firearm, and wanton endangerment 1st degree.  He was lodged in the Barren County Jail.
