Otha Donald Parke, age 83 of Summer Shade died Thursday at the Monroe County Medical Center. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Missionary Mound Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Eva Pearl Hayes Parke; one daughter: Shirley Parke; two sons: Jerry Parke and wife Leisa and Tommy Parke all of Summer Shade; three grandchildren: Jeremy Parke, Jenny Heckel and Jessica Semon; three great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services for Otha Donald Parke will be at 1PM Monday at the Missionary Mound Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Missionary Mound Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 5PM Saturday and continue through Sunday at the McMurtrey Funeral Home and will be after 10AM Monday at the Church. Memorials may be made to the Missionary Mound Church or Cemetery.
