At approximately  8:20 AM CST this morning, Post 15 received a call from Monroe County dispatch that a bomb threat had been called in to the Tompkinsville Elementary School and the Monroe County Attorney's office.

The caller advised that the bombs were set to detonate in 15 minutes from the time of the call.  No detonation has occurred.  Additional bomb threats were called in to Sonic and McDonald's Restaurants and to the local Wal Mart in Tompkinsville.

All businesses have been evacuated and school has been cancelled for the day.  The public should recognize that there may be significant delays in regards to local traffic and are asked to avoid, if possible, the potential threat areas.
