Evelyn Wright Houchens 73 of Glasgow died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at her home.  She was born in Cumberland County the daughter of the late Otha Elvis Wright and Glenia Carey Wright.  Evelyn was a homemaker and a former employee of Mallory and ACK.  She was a member of the South Fork Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter Martha Morrison Newberry of Glasgow; 2 sons Barry Clifton Houchens and David Scott Houchens both of Glasgow; 8 grandchildren Amanda, Jessica, Josh, Megan, Anna and Dillon Houchens, Monica Poynter and Carlos Morrison; several nieces and nephews and her special friend and caregiver Vicky Minor.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Euell C. Houchens, a sister Ruth Richey and brothers Leon and Willie Price Wright.

Funeral services will be 3pm Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at the A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 2pm Tuesday.
