On Wednesday, October 17th, at about 6 pm, Glasgow Police Department observed 28-year-old Brandy Nicole Abbott operating a white vehicle. Police had received a complaint that she had a fake insurance card. Police conducted a traffic stop on Abbott. Upon contact, Abbott seemed emotional and disoriented. Police made contact with the insurance company on the card she provided. The compant claimed that the policy belonged to another person/vehicle. The K-9 officer and dog were deployed. The dog got a hit in the front of the vehicle. Within the area, four lortab 10 mg were located. Abbott then pulled 26 lortab 10 mg from her bra. Abbott stated she was going to sell the pills in order to “suvive.” Abbott was charged with 1.) Failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance 1st offense 2.) Operator motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs 1st offense 3.) Possession of controlled substance  2nd degree 1st offense, and 4.) Trafficking controlled substance 2nd degree 1st offense. Abbott was arrested and transported to the Barren County Jail.
