Nina Skaggs Tunks,  95, of  Brownsville, KY died Tuesday, October 16, 2012 in Bowling Green, KY.  The Edmonson Co. native was born March 8, 1917 to the late Eugene Skaggs and the late Zora Crowder Skaggs and the wife of the late Sol Tunks. She was the bookkeeper for Gene Tunks Country Store in Westminister ,CA and was the oldest living member of Midway United Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by one son, Sol Eugene Tunks and wife, Georgia Ellen of Garden Grove, CA; one daughter, Marianne Elizabeth Tunks-Stevens of Annadale, New Jersey; four grandchildren, Hope Renee Tunks-Davis, Kathleen Ellen Tunks-Toth, Heather Suzanne Stevens-Rubino and Joshua Eugene Stevens; seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services for Nina Skaggs Tunks will be held on Friday at 2pm at the Patton Funeral Home, Brownsville Chapel with burial in the Midway Church Cemetery.

Visitation Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday, October 19, 2012 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
