Christopher Gerald Staples, 98, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away, Sunday, September 30th, at Monroe County Medical Center.

Gerald was born in Montrose, CO on September 20, 1914, a son of the late Maggie (Gilbreth) and Samuel Leroy Staples. Gerald was a member of Calvary Christian Assembly and he worked as a coal miner/ rancher.

He is survived by his care giver, Jackie Bowles.

Funeral services will be conducted at Yokley Trible Funeral Home, Tompkinsville, KY, at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 2nd,  with Bro. Tim White officiating.

Visitation begins Monday, October 1, from 6:00-9:00 P.M.. and Tuesday 6:00 A.M.-1:00 A.M. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. Burial will be in the White Cemetery.
