Early Sunday Morning at 1:45 am, Glasgow Police Department observed 24-year-old Benjamin Gordon of Glasgow traveling North on 31E weaving throughout his lane of travel. Upon contact, Sergeant Steele detected a strong Odor of alcoholic beverage upon Gordon. During the walk and turn test, Gordon missed heel to toe four times, demonstrated an improper number of steps, and stepped off the line two times. During the one leg stand, the subject touched his toe to the ground four times for balance. Subject’s eyes showed rapid rebound and he admitted to smoking marijuana prior to the stop. Inside the vehicle, Sergeant Steele found a cigarette pack containing suspected marijuana roaches, also a silver grinder with residue and rolling papers. Gordon claimed ownership of these items. Gordon was arrested and charged with Operating Motor Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol/Drugs/Etc. 1st Offense, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia 1st Offense. Gordon was transported to the Barren County Jail.
