Kenneth O. “Red” McDaniel, 80, Glasgow, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at the Metcalfe County Nursing Home. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Charles William and Lucy Sabens McDaniel. He was a U. S. Army veteran, a member of Kiwanis, and a member of the Glasgow Baptist Church. He was retired manager of Hardee’s Restaurant in Glasgow. Survivors include three children: Vicki Snapp (Jeff) of Holiday, FL, Alan McDaniel of Bowling Green, and Beverly Vance (Donnie) of Glasgow; four grandchildren: Cristina Schilling (John), Jason Vance (Amanda Moore), Laurie Basham (Cortney), and David Vance (Kelly); 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lita Yates McDaniel; one grandson, Thomas McNamara; three brothers, Frank, David, and W. J. McDaniel; one sister, Josephine Scott. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call after 3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
