On Monday, September 10th, at approximately 1:21 pm, Glasgow Police Department Responded to Urgent Clinic after the staff called the police to report a subject, 43-year-old Christy Sauer of Owensboro “doctor shopping.”

Officer Tammy Britt spoke with an employee who stated according to KASPER report, Sauer has gone to several different Urgent Clinics to obtain controlled substances. She has refills of Tramadol and Phentermine (both controlled) and Gabapentin. She did not tell Glasgow Urgent Clinic staff that she was obtaining the same medication elsewhere. She told the staff she was not obtaining these medications at any other facility which is a false statement. Urgent Care of Glasgow contacted other Urgent Clinics and confirmed she had obtained the same medications around the same dates.

Officer Britt read Sauer her Miranda Warning. She waived her right to attorney and after denying the allegations repeatedly, she eventually admitted to obtaining the controlled substances under false statement. She has filled prescriptions at Nations, Walgreen’s, Rite-Aid, Fred’s, Don & Daisy’s, and Rice Pharmacies. She was arrested for attempting to obtain controlled substances by fraud/false statement/forgery and transported to the Barren County Jail.
