Freddie G. Poteet, 69 of Brownsville died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center. The Warren County native was born June 24, 1943 to the late Raymond Hubert Poteet and mary Helen Poteet. He is also preceded in death by four siblings, Wayne Poteet, Gary H. Poteet, Virgie Mae Poteet and Joan C. Nunn. He was a farmer and worked for Tri-State Bedding.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Virginia Marie Poteet of Brownsville, sons, William Frederick Poteet and his companion April Bradshaw of Beaver Dam, and Phillip Dewayne Hayes of Glasgow and a daughter, Julie Marie Hardin and her husband Chris of Brownsville;four grandsons, Drake, Lawrence, Brandyn and Tyler and a granddaughter, Amber, two brothers Tommy Poteet of Brownsville, Douglas Poteet (Gale) of Bowling Green; two sisters, Flossie White and Helen Bledsoe (Larry) all of Bowling Green, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Grove Chapel with burial in Pine Grove Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home
