Carol Mae Thomas, age 69, died Thursday August 2, 2012 at the Medical Center at Scottsville.

The Allen County native was the daughter of the late Sherman Charlie Thomas and Nannie Reece Williams Thomas. She was a member of Mt. Union UMC, secretary for the Allen County Ambulance Service for 38 years, Allen County Treasurer for 18 years and dispatcher for The Scottsville Police Department for 19 years, and a member of several gospel groups since 1962 and served as the first female President of the Kentucky State Gospel Singing Convention.

She is survived by life long friend Rex Agers of Glasgow, one sister Lamona Cockrill and husband Wayne “Fuzzy” of Adolphus. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 4, 2012 at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday August 5, 2012 at the T.W. Crow and Son Funeral Home with burial in the Mt. Union United Methodist Church Cemetery.
