Hardin Holman, 108, of Three Forks, died Thursday, August 02, 2012 at his home. Hardin was a man of integrity who was loved very much and respected by all who knew him. The Barren County native was a farmer, as well as a member and deacon of Martinsville Missionary Baptist Church. He was married to the late Helen Grinstead Holman for more than 81 years. He was also preceded in death by a grandson, David Jackson; two sons-in-law, James W. Meeks and Frank Jackson; and a great-grandson-in-law, Kevin Davis. Hardin enjoyed spending time with his family and deeply loved them all. He is survived by two daughters -- Aleene Meeks and Avis Jackson; four grandchildren -- Remona Barry and her husband Ken, Beverly Huntsman and her husband Edward, Doug Jackson and his wife Linda, and Richard Jackson and his wife Sally; seven great-grandchildren – Tammy Davis, Jason Barry and his wife Idaliz, Robin Gilliam and her husband Todd, Christy Cox, Brad Jackson, Matthew Jackson and his wife Miranda, and Andrew Jackson; and four great-great granddaughters -- Kelsey, Cheyenne, Brooklyn and Sierra. “Pa Holman” was a man of great knowledge and wisdom. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. He persevered through trials and continued to see the good in life. He was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ all his life and enjoyed talking about the love of Christ more than anything else in the world. He has truly left a legacy for his family, and they are thankful for the blessing of being a part of his life. His family invites you to join them in celebrating his life. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Hardy and Son Funeral Home Bowling Green Chapel. Burial will be at Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
