A Glasgow woman was recently indicted on ten counts of obtaining a controlled by substance by fraud.

On June 27th, Sergeant Tod Young of the Drug Task Force presented the investigation to a Warren County Grand Jury. The case indicates that 32-year-old Georgina Payne was working in a private physician practice in Bowling Green. Between November 2011 and April 2012, Payne allegedly had been calling prescriptions for controlled substances into pharmacies on the physician’s behalf without his knowledge or approval.

Georgina Payne was located at her residence on Carden Road in Glasgow with assistance from the Barren-Edmonson Drug Task Force yesterday (Tuesday) around 3pm. She was arrested on the multi-count indictment and charged with ten counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud—a class D felony. She was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail.
