Sue Carol Steenbergen, of Louisville passed away July 2, 2012 with the family by her side.She is a native of Oakland, KY and a member of Oakland Baptist church. She graduated from North Warren High School class of 1955. Sue cherished many friends in Warren county and in Hopkinsville, KY where she lived for several years. She enjoyed a successful career with the Hopkinsville Electric System and later volunteered at Jenny Stuart Medical Center, she loved animals and music.

She was preceded in death by her parents Pat & Zula Steenbergen; her nieces: Brandolynn Palmer, Aleda McBride, her sister and brother-in-law Betty & Guy Shirley.

Survivors include her sister Hazel Edwards and husband Charles of Louisville; niece: Sherrie Skone and husband Mike of Louisville; nephews: Charles L. Edwards Jr. and wife Paula of DePaul, IN; Robert P Edwards and wife Dalia of Louisville; Great niece: Kim Gallegar and husband Mark; Great Great nephews: Braden Gallegar, Alex & Matthew Raymer; great nephews: David Palmer of Louisville; Great niece: April Edwards of Owensboro; Great step nephews: Mikey Skone of Louisville.

Graveside services for Sue Carol Steenbergen will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery, 1209 Fairview Ave, Bowling Green, Ky 42101 under the direction of Hardy & Son Funeral Home, Bowling Green Chapel. In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Oakland Baptist church 410 Church St, Oakland, Ky 42159 or the charity of your choice.
