Edgar C. Smith age 94 of Edmonton died Friday, June 29, 2012 at Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton. He was the son of the late Zib and Lou Eva Word Smith.Edgar was a member and deacon of the Penicks Chapel United Baptist Church and retired farmer.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years Bedie Belle Jobe Smith of Edmonton.   A twin sister Edna Walbert of Glasgow and one brother Ray (Georgia Nell) Smith of Glasgow. Several nieces and nephews also survive.  Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister; Carlos, Ray and Mae Smith.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM  Sunday at Butler Funeral Home with burial in the Missionary Mound Cemetery.  Visitation after 10:00 AM  Sunday at the funeral home.
