Pleasant Mitchell “Tooter” Higgs, 75, of Brownsville died at 7:00 AM June 24, 2012 at his home.

The Edmonson County native was a retired machine operator. He was a son of the late Ezra Higgs and Lona Vincent Higgs. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Everett Higgs, Onell Higgs and Tommy Higgs.

Surviving are four brothers, Ezra “Junie” Higgs of San Antonio, TX and David Higgs, Albert Higgs and Johnny Higgs all of Brownsville; a sister, Edith Young of Indianapolis, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Gravil Funeral Home with burial in Dit Vincent Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home.
