In the Bryan Stephenson Memorial being played in northern Kentucky,   Barren County defeated Dixie Heights Friday 15 to 3 in 5 innings, then Barren County defeated Campbell County Saturday  8 to 6 in 8 innings, but lost to Simon Kenton Saturday afternoon 3 to 2.

Also Friday Glasgow advanced in the All A Classic by defeating Paducah St. Mary 7 to 3.   Glasgow will play in the All A next weekend in Lexington.

Softball

From Saturday’s All A Classic in Owensboro, Glasgow Lady Scotties opened up the day with a 4 to 0 win over Raceland, then lost to Livingston Central 4 to 3, and also lost to Pikeville 5 to 4.

ON TODAY’S LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL SOFTBALL SCHEDULE…GLASGOW TRAVELS TO BARREN COUNTY FOR A 5:00 START; HART COUNTY HOSTS GREEN COUNTY; AND METCALFE COUNTY ENTERTAINS MONROE COUNTY.

AND IN BASEBALL THIS AFTERNOON…GLASGOW VISITS SOUTH WARREN; ; CAVERNA WELCOMES HART COUNTY; EDMONSON COUNTY IS AT HOME AGAINST OHIO COUNTY; METCALFE COUNTY HOSTS PULASKI COUNTY; MONROE COUNTY PLAYS AT CLINTON COUNTY; AND ALLEN COUNTY-SCOTTSVILLE TRAVELS TO GREENWOOD.
