The Barren County Board of Education met yesterday evening at 5:30 at the Barren County Area Technology Center on Trojan Trail for their regular monthly meeting. Barren County Schools Superintendent Bo Matthews and the board commended the administration and staff of the school system, as well as Barren County Emergency Management Services, for efficiency they demonstrated during last Friday’s storms…

Superintendent Matthews then discussed the progress being made on the construction of the JROTC building on Trojan Trail, renovations at Barren County High School and Barren County Middle School and construction projects planned for the near future in the school system. He also gave an update on the progress of fundraising efforts for the upcoming trip to Carnegie Hall for the BCHS Band. Superintendent Matthews then talked about new positions being approved within the school system…
