METH LAB FOUND IN CAVE CITY TUESDAY; ONE MAN ARRESTED PDF Print

Tuesday afternoon at 1 pm the Barren Edmonson Drug Task force anf the Barren County Sheriff's Department responded to assist Cave City Police on a possible meth lab at 301 Owens Street.  Police had an active warrant for Paul Travis Buley of that address.  They found components of a meth lab  and contacted the DTF and Sheriff's department.  Consent to search was given and officers found 4 shake and bake meth labs along with chemicals and equipment used to manufacture meth, finished meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia inside and outside the residence.  Mr. Buley admitted that he made meth and stated that he had just injected meth with rat poison.  Cave City EMMS and the ambulance service were contacted.  Mr. Buley had to be decontaminated and was transported to T.J. Samson hospital.  He was checked and later releaed.  Buley was transferred to the Barren County Jail and charged with outstanding warrants and additional charges of manufacturing meth.  More charges are pending.  The DTF ws assisted by Cave City Police, Barren County Sherif's Department, Cave Cit VFD, Barren-Metcalfe EMS and Emergency Management's Shannon White.
