According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Karen M. Davis, a new Barren County Grand Jury recently met on October 20, 2011 and the following actions were taken:

Total Cases Remanded as Misdemeanors 0

1)- Benjamin Thomas Coots, 38, of Glasgow, was indicted for CRIMINAL ATTEMPT MURDER; WANTON ENDANGERMENT, 1ST DEGREE; and RESISTING ARREST based on testimony from Det. Rusty Anderson of the Barren County Sheriff’s Office regarding events on August 31, 2011.

2)- Brian Lewis Blake, 33, of Glasgow, was indicted for MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE, 1ST OFFENSE; POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (METHAMPHETAMINE); POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA; and VIOLATION OF KENTUCKY EPO/DVO based on testimony from Officer Scott Harmon of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on June 30, 2011.

3)- Bruce S. Archer II, 34, of Glasgow, was indicted for MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE, 1ST OFFENSE; POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (METHAMPHETAMINE); and POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA based on testimony from a Detective with the Barren County Drug Task Force regarding events on August 29, 2011.

4)-  Andrew Thomas Mutter,27, of Glasgow, was indicted for MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE, 1ST OFFENSE; UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE PRECURSOR, 1ST OFFENSE; and POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA based on testimony from a Detective with the Barren County Drug Task Force regarding events on July 13, 2011.

5)-  Tyler O’Brien Branstetter, 25, and  6)-  Andrew Thomas Mutter,27, both of Glasgow, were indicted for COMPLICITY TO MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE, 1ST OFFENSE; COMPLICITY TO UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF METHAMPHETAMINE PRECURSOR; POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (METHAMPHETAMINE); and POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA  based on testimony from a Detective with the Barren County Drug Task Force regarding events on April 14, 2011.  Mr. Branstetter was also indicted for PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER, 2ND DEGREE due to his prior felony conviction.

7)-  Michael Clayton Lowe, 36, of Smiths Grove, was indicted for MANUFACTURING METHAMPHETAMINE, 1ST OFFENSE based on testimony from Lt. Col. David Graves of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on May 18, 2011.

8)-  James Stephen Moore,34, of Smiths Grove, was indicted for CRIMINAL ABUSE, 1ST DEGREE, CHILD 12 OR UNDER based on testimony from Det. Rusty Anderson of the Barren County Sheriff’s Office regarding events on September 15, 2011.

9)-  Dejuan Carnell Childress,40, of Glasgow, was indicted for POSSESSION OF A HANDGUN BY A CONVICTED FELON; WANTON ENDANGERMENT, 1ST DEGREE, 2 COUNTS; CARRYING A CONCEALED DEADLY WEAPON; POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA; DISORDERLY CONDUCT, 2ND DEGREE; ALCOHOL INTOXICATION IN A PUBLIC PLACE, 1ST OFFENSE; and PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER, 2ND DEGREE based on testimony from Officer Aaron Cowan of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on September 4, 2011.  Childress has a prior felony conviction.

10)-  David Tyler Pedigo,22, of Glasgow, was indicted for TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (COCAINE), MORE THAN 4 GRAMS; and 11)- Tyler J. Smith, 22, of Glasgow, was indicted for COMPLICITY TO TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (COCAINE), LESS THAN 4 GRAMS based on testimony from Officer Michael Burton of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events between September 20 and 24, 2011.

12)-  David Tyler Pedigo,22, of Glasgow, was indicted for TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (COCAINE), MORE THAN 4 GRAMS; TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA, 8 OZS TO LESS THAN 5 LBS; MARIJUANA CULTIVATION, FIVE OR MORE PLANTS; and POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA based on testimony from Officer Michael Burton of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on September 27, 2011.

13)-  Arsenial D. Herndon, 21, of Glasgow, was indicted for TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (COCAINE), LESS THAN 4 GRAMS; and  14)  David Tyler Pedigo, DOB 05/01/1989, of Glasgow, was indicted for COMPLICITY TO TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (COCAINE), LESS THAN 4 GRAMS based on testimony from Officer Michael Burton of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on September 24, 2011.

15)- Arsenial D. Herndon, 21, of Glasgow, was indicted for TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (COCAINE), LESS THAN 4 GRAMS based on testimony from Officer Michael Burton of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on September 22, 2011.

16)-  Angelia Smith Ballard,31 of Smiths Grove, was indicted for UNLAWFUL DISTRIBUTION OF METHAMPHETAMINE PRECURSOR; POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (METHAMPHETAMINE); POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA; and FAILURE TO OR IMPROPER SIGNAL based on testimony from a Detective with the Barren County Drug Task Force regarding events on May 6, 2011.

17)-   Carol D. Reid,30, of Westmoreland, Tennessee, was indicted for POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (METHAMPHETAMINE); POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE (HYDROCODONE); and POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA based on testimony from Officer Aaron Cowan of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on June 16, 2011.

18)-   Patricia E. Button,50, of Glasgow, was indicted for POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (METHAMPHETAMINE); POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA; LEAVING THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT/FAILURE TO RENDER AID; FAILURE OF NON-OWNER OPERATOR TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED INSURANCE, 1ST OFFENSE; and NO/EXPIRED REGISTRATION PLATES based on testimony from Officer Mary Driver of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on July 30, 2011.

19)-  Bryan Alan Brooks,27, of Glasgow, was indicted for POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (METHAMPHETAMINE); TRAFFICKING IN A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 2ND DEGREE (HYDROCODONE); POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA; and CARELESS DRIVING based on testimony from Officer Jacob Elmore of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on July 29, 2011.

20)-  Latisha M. Vibbert, 25, of Edmonton, was indicted for POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (METHAMPHETAMINE) based on testimony from Officer Michael Burton of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on August 3, 2011.

21)- Larry Wayne Barbour,50, of Glasgow, was indicted for POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (COCAINE) based on testimony from Officer Michael Burton of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on June 15, 2011.

22)-    Dan Eric Webb,39, of Glasgow, was indicted for POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, 1ST DEGREE (OXYCODONE); CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE PRESCRIPTION NOT IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER, 1ST OFFENSE; OPERATING A MOTOR VEHICLE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ANY OTHER SUBSTANCE OR COMBINATION OF SUBSTANCES WHICH IMPAIRS ONE’S DRIVING ABILITY, 1ST OFFENSE; and CARELESS DRIVING based on testimony from Officer Jacob Elmore of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on August 12, 2011.

23)-  Thomas L. Harris III, 23, of Glasgow, was indicted for TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA WITHIN 1,000 FEET OF A SCHOOL based on testimony from Officer Michael Burton of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on September 15, 2011.

24)-  Gregory A. Ward, 39, of Huntington, Indiana, was indicted for FLAGRANT NONSUPPORT as he had failed to obey an earlier court order to pay child support and was behind in the amount of $1,446.00 as of March 31, 2011, based on testimony from Shelia Thrasher, Barren County Child Support Case Worker.

25)-   Jay Preston Hicks, 39, of Glasgow, was indicted for RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY, A FIREARM; POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A CONVICTED FELON; and PERSISTENT FELONY OFFENDER, 1ST DEGREE based on testimony from Deputy Kevin Wilson of the Barren County Sheriff’s Office regarding events on August 27/28, 2011.  Hicks has prior felony convictions.

26)-   Robert Hunter,53, and  27)-   Alicia A. Hunter, 48, both of Glasgow, were indicted for BURGLARY, 3RD DEGREE based on testimony from Officer Scott Harmon of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on September 2, 2011.

28)-   Trenton A. Williams, 25, of Cynthiana, was indicted for THEFT BY UNLAWFUL TAKING, $500 OR MORE BUT LESS THAN $10,000 based on testimony from Officer Ashley Towe of the Glasgow Police Department regarding events on September 9, 2011.

Remember, an indictment represents a criminal charge and a person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
