Glasgow High School is pleased to announce two boys’ assistant basketball coaches for the Scotties for the 2011-12 campaign.

Brandon Stockton and Brian Brown have been selected by Boys’ Head Coach Jeff Hall to join his staff.  In making the announcement, Coach Hall said, “This is an outstanding opportunity for our young men to be exposed to two quality basketball coaches as well as outstanding role models.”  Stockton will be working with the Boys’ JV program while Brown will take over the reins for the Boys’ Freshmen team.  Hall went on to say, “This a win-win for all concerned.  We have some talented young men in our program with a lot of potential and we feel like that Coach Stockton and Coach Brown will step right in without missing a ‘dribble.’”

Stockton is a former Scottie having played for Coach Bart Flener from 1998-2002.  He also is the former 2002 Mr. Kentucky before advancing to the University of Kentucky where he played on the Wildcat basketball team for four years.

Brown, on the other hand, graduated from Barren County High School in 1997 where he played for Coach Steve Riley.  In addition, Brown also holds a school record for hurdles in track.  He graduated from WKU in 2001 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

Coach Hall concluded the announcement by saying, “With their knowledge and excitement for the game and for our kids, we know they will be valuable additions to our program.”
