Authorities say a small plane has crashed near the airport in Elizabethtown and no injuries were reported.

Elizabethtown Fire Chief Michael Hulsey said the only passenger on the plane Wednesday was the pilot, who refused treatment or transport to the hospital.

Hulsey called the pilot "lucky," and said it appeared that the plane had "cartwheeled" wing-over-wing.

He said the Federal Aviation Administration was investigating and firefighters were cleaning up fuel, but there had not been a fire.

Greg Lowe with the Hardin County Sheriff's Office says the plane went down at about 2:45 pm EDT Wednesday.
