(June 27, 2011) – Contract crews are set to begin paving late this week along US 31w through Munfordville.  The work zone stretches from just north of the square to the Interstate 65 interchange area.   Base repairs, leveling and wedging are taking place the first part of the week in preparation for asphalt surfacing.  Sidewalk and sod work are already finished.  When complete, this section will feature a new center tuning lane, which will allow for better traffic flow through the city.

Motorists traveling US 31w through Munfordville are urged to use additional caution when approaching work crews.  Be aware of slowly moving and stopped traffic.  Minimize driver distractions by limiting the use of mobile electronic devices.
